Founded in 1982, MEN Mikro Elektronik develops and produces failsafe computer boards and systems for extreme environmental conditions in industrial embedded applications.
In the mid-1990s, we have started focussing on the most challenging market for electronics in terms of ruggedness and reliability - railways and its universal EN 50155 standards. Since then, we have also ventured into all kinds of other fields in the transportation area.
MEN equipment is currently in use in many areas of railway and transportation, from driverless subway control functions, on-train safety and communication management using MVB or WTB, electronic interlocking blocks (signaling), test computers for subways and streetcars, station and track management, infotainment and passenger information systems, up to control and measuring functions in track-laying and maintenance vehicles. Beyond railways, our boards and systems are at home in almost any vehicle on wheels, e.g. commercial vehicles like harvesting machines.
Our computers are used inside trains or on the track, on buses, commercial vehicles, ships and airplanes, in the automotive industry, in the medical industry, in mechanical engineering, and telecommunications, for control, measuring, test and simulation, networking and infotainment solutions.

Interesting Product Families
While all of MEN's product families include rugged products, there are some platforms that are especially well suited for transportation applications.
